NHBC’s commitment to raising standards is demonstrated through our Register of 20,000 builders who are all technically and financially vetted, who agree to comply with NHBC’s Rules, and who build in accordance with our Technical Standards. When considering a builder for a new home or extension work, we recommend choosing an NHBC Registered builder or a member of another reputable organisation such as the Federation of Master Builders.
As the largest single provider of building control in the UK, and a Corporate Approved Inspector, NHBC is able to offer building control services on any size of project as an alternative to your local authority. With a national network of qualified staff, NHBC is involved from the planning and design stage of a project and works with the architect to deliver compliant solutions for the client.
As the leading provider of Training and Health and Safety services to the new homes sector, NHBC also offers a range of other building related services, including energy ratings (eg Energy Performance Certificates), Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and Home Information Packs.
