About the RIBA
The Royal Institute of British Architects is the UK body for architecture and the architectural profession.
They provide support for their 40,000 members in the form of training, technical services, publications and events, and set standards for the education of architects, both in the UK and overseas. With Government, they work to improve the design quality of public buildings, new homes and new communities.
From exhibitions and talks to conferences and information services, the RIBA advances architectural and design excellence through engagement with all. Their annual regional award schemes recognise outstanding architecture and culminate in the RIBA Stirling Prize, seen by a large audience on Channel 4. Their headquarters in London is open to the public and includes a bookshop, restaurant, café, exhibition space (also at the Victoria & Albert Museum) and a library of international repute.
