Aban Contractor is one of five adult siblings who clubbed together to refurbish the house they’d grown up in – a Victorian terrace in SW9.
The children wanted to create areas in the house that would allow them to come and spend time with their dad, without invading his privacy.
Now the refurb – by Annette Marchini Ltd – is complete, three generations – grandfather, children and grandchildren – are able to live side by side without cramping their father’s style and allowing him to still be the king of his castle.
Aban tells us how Architect in the House proved the catalyst for this very democratic project.
